Happy Birthday Honey!

Well I am a little late getting this post up since yesterday was Chris's B-day but I guess better late than never. We had a great weekend celebrating his birthday and a great day together Monday. Honey hope you had a wonderful birthday and can't wait for many more together. I love you more than words can say!

Well this week is my last week at my job of 12 years and I definitely have very mixed feelings as the week slowly comes to an end. On one hand I am excited about the possibilities that lay in front of me, but on the other hand I am scared to death. What if I don't find a job by the time my severance runs out? What if I don't find a job within 6 months? What am I going to do with myself not getting up and going to work everyday? What if I do find a job and get an offer and the drive is worse than the one I am making now....obviously I will take the job because well I gotta have a job, but what kind of stress will this cause and how will I be able to handle it? These are only a few of the million questions floating around in my head this week. I am trying my hardest to remember that God will take care of us, but being a person who always feels the need to be in control of things, I am having a hard time.

Our home computer is still in the hospital but there is hope we will have it by the end of the week. So hopefully very soon I will be able to post some new pics.

Also, one last thing before I sign off.......please please please say lots of prayers for our dear friends A&B. They are having some major difficulties with the pregnancy at 22 weeks she is having major contractions and they are praying for a miracle and that baby Cullen will not end up having to be delivered prematurely. There is a high chance that A will end up in the hospital for the remainder of her pregnancy. Odds and Ends.....

Wow its been a while since I have posted and I feel bad for that and I could give all kinds of excuses, but I won't. I just simply have been busy with life. So we will call this post just some odds and ends that have been happening the last few weeks. Here we go:

• I am down to less than 2 weeks left at my job and I am getting nervous and more sad by the day. I can't believe 12 years are really coming to an end. It has been exhausting here at work packing everything and cleaning stuff out. No need for working out at home when I am doing it all day at work! I sat this morning and shredded so much paperwork that I couldn't just throw away for security reasons and the dates on some of it were insane.
• In the last 2 weeks I have had a phone interview for one job and an in person interview for another job. I am praying that I get the call back from one of these. Both are jobs with companies that I really think I would enjoy. But.....starting over is so unnerving to me. Please say a prayer.
• I am officially wearing the same size jeans and clothes I was wearing my Sr year of HS! Size 14.....seriously I think I might have yelled out in the dressing room that day and scared a few people but who cares :)
• The above reminds me I haven't updated our weight logs lately.....I need to get on that.
• We have been collecting for March of Dimes and Chris & I are over 1/2 to our goal already! Yea us! If you haven't had a chance and have even $1.00 extra, please click the link at the top of the blog and make a donation.
• We celebrated the 3 birthdays we missed due to my father-in-law being in the hospital finally. Mother-in-law 12/31, Step-Dad 1/8, and Father-in-law 1/15! And we have another birthday coming on Monday! My wonderful husband's birthday in on Monday. Actually Feb is a busy birthday month in our family.....we have birthdays for Chris, an Aunt, an Uncle, Chris's brother, our nephew, and 4 close friends! Wow!
• We celebrated Valentine's Day this past weekend and it was a wonderful relaxing weekend together that we haven't had in a very long time. Topped off with a day at Kemah....it was cold but the food and atmosphere was out of this world!
• I have found some dear old friends on FaceBook and reconnected with them. It has been wonderful to hear about their lives and reconnect. And it has been funny how so many of them live right near me. One even in my same subdivision. How weird is that? I have also found out that something crazy happened in 1975 because I have gotten in contact with so many friends from HS that have fertility issues that its unbelievable. I will have to expand on my feelings about this at another time and explain more of what I mean that something crazy happened in 1975!
• I finally got my Christmas Tree taken down on get this Feb 5th along with the lights outside! I am serious.....and don't think I didn't just contemplate leaving them up til this Christmas....cause I did but I decided against it! LOL
• We are doing lots of new research on adoption and trying to decide if we should try IVF or go the adoption route. Again something I will share more on at a later time......lots to think and pray about.
• Chris & I both got sick right after we got his dad home from the hospital. And it was bad....sick in bed for like 4 days! We haven't been sick like that in a long time but I think we were both so exhausted that our bodies decided it was time for a break whether we liked it or not. We both recovered after a week and are good as new now.
• We are still praying for our friends A & B and their little Boy, Cullen Spencer, who we hope will stay in mommies tummy as long as possible. For more details on their progress click on over to www.bennettandellie.blogspot.com

Hummmmmm.....I think that about covers it, but I am sure I have missed something. Oh yeah here's something I missed the computer at home is dead and currently hooked up to life support for the last 2-3 weeks! We are praying they will be able to salvage all my pics and everything we had on there. My plan the first week I was unemployed was to get all the pics and important info and download to zip drive or disk....apparently my computer had a different idea. So we will see what happens there. Here's hoping we have a computer soon so I can post some new pics on here. Just for an idea, when we had the pics done the end of Nov I was wearing a size 18 and now I am a size 14 so I have definitely changed since then and need to post some new pics.
