I can hardly believe we are so close and that I am at 36 weeks with less than 30 days to go. It seems like just yesterday we started the whole IVF process and now here we are ready to welcome our miracle baby boy into this world very soon! God is amazing and has answered our biggest prayer!
So this weeks appointment went just as good as all the others with one bit of shocking news for me. My BP was 112/68 and his heart rate was 154. My belly measured at 36.5 weeks so basically right on track. I am not having any contractions yet and I am not having any swelling yet either and for that I am very grateful. Now for the shocking news, it seems the ultrasound measurements and estimates might be off. From what she can feel and tell, she says he is "a big baby, a very big baby"! She said that his head is already firmly down in my pelvis and his little but is wedged up under my ribcage and she said he could be 9-10 lbs at birth! I almost fell off the table at that news. Not quite what I was expecting but at the same time I kinda had a feeling because he is definitely out of room. Bending is no longer an option.....if it hits he floor that is where it stays until Chris can pick it up for me. She still feels that I will go all the way to my due date maybe a day or two earlier but expects close to my due date. Although I have dilated 1 cm and I am almost 50% effaced. She said that just means we are getting ready but that I could stay that way for several weeks still. So we are finishing up all the last minute stuff we have to do before our miracle arrives. And we will go back to the Dr on Tuesday to see the latest stats.
This weekend is our annual March of Dimes March for Babies and although I will sadly not get to walk this year, Chris will be walking for the 3 of us! Wow the 3 of us.....I love the sound of that! So if you can help us to meet our goal, we would be so very grateful. Just click on the link at the top of the blog. I can't wait until next years walk, when Colton will be out there with us.....what a blessing!
Until next time.....Blessings to everyone!
