Hey there to all my friends and family!
Chris and I are honored to again be participating in this years Houston March for Babies. We are again members of Team Chunky Monkey and we are walking in honor of all babies who have gone before us and all healthy babies too. Specifically we are marching in memory of Bennett David and Logan William and in honor of Ellie Grace and Olivia Paige. To learn more about the stories of Bennett David and Ellie Grace please visit their blog at www.bennettandellie.blogspot.com and to learn more about Logan William and Olivia Paige visit their blog at www.oliviaandlogan.blogspot.com. Please help us out by making a donation in any amount you can afford. I know times are hard, but even a donation as small as $1.00 counts and will make a difference. We are so proud to be able to participate again this year and we look forward to participating for many years to come.
Over the years of fertility treatments and via this blog we have met so many wonderful families who have and will potentially benefit from this wonderful event. When you enter into the land of infertility and proceed to fertility treatments, you find out all too fast how quickly tiny lives can be taken away without a moments notice from those who end in miscarriages all the way to those who are born prematurely and fight with everything they have to survive. Chris and I have longed to be parents for many years now and we know that one day our day will come, but we also know the realities of having fertility treatments and the realities of prematurity. No one in this world deserves to walk in the land of infertility, miscarriage or premature birth but it is a fact of life and I know that we can all get through it by the grace of God.
So I ask you again for your support for this most worthy cause. March for Babies has touched our lives in a way we never imagined and for it we are better people. So in honor and memory of every baby around the world.....let the marching begin! If you are so inclined and are able, please click on the link at the top of the blog to make your donation via credit card. If you prefer to donate via check, please send me an email at nordzoo316@att.net and I will contact you and make arrangements to pick up your check or give you my address to mail it to.
God Bless each and everyone of you and thanks in advance for your support! The Nord's

Baby its cold outside.....
Seriously, its too cold outside and its only getting worse. I live in south Texas for a reason, its warm OK its hot but that's OK I like it! I can't believe we will be having low temps in the low 20's for 4-5 days and the highs one day only the low 30's and the rest of the time the 40's for highs! Seriously did I move and I just don't remember it? They are even talking about sleet and snow again on Wed & Thurs. Now it is very rare to get sleet and snow in south Texas but to get it twice in one season is almost unheard of. I am so ready for summer! Of course if it does snow, I will be outside in it acting like a 12 year old again, but then I will be inside by the fireplace with a big cup of hot tea!
Last Thursday was a very sad day at my job when so many left for the their last time. Then when I got to work today it was even more horrible, the parking garage looks so empty and the building is so empty and the quite is deafening! I can't even imagine what Feb 26th is going to feel like. I have been here for so long the thought of no longer coming here to work everyday is really crazy. When this all started back in August and we found out we were all losing our jobs it seemed well a ways away. Its crazy how fast it got here!
Things are getting better with Chris's dad and he came home yesterday which was an absolute blessing, but last night was very rough. None of us got much sleep as he was up all night with pain. After Chris spent some time on the phone with the surgeon this morning they have determined this is normal for where he is and he doesn't need to be readmitted at this time. Things are going better this afternoon but he will be going to see the surgeon in his office on Wed so we will see what happens then. For now until he is completely recovered Chris's parents are staying with us because its easier for us not having to drive to their house every day and since his mom can't drive at all and he can't drive right now we need them with us until they can take care of themselves.
Until next time, Blessings to you all!

Happy New Year 2010!
Last night we said goodbye to 2009 and a big hello to 2010. We are ready for a new year full of health and happiness.
Just a quick update on Chris's dad, things are improving and they have now taken surgery off the table. Today he is allowed to have some liquids and hopefully he will continue to improve. Thanks so much for all of your prayers for him.
Blessings to you all and I hope you are having a very Happy New Year. May you all have lots of health and happiness in 2010!
